The Dark Side of ICE's Outsourced Enforcement The arrest of Brandon Booth, an off duty employee at Colorado's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility run by Geo Group, has highlighted a disturbing trend in US immigration enforcement.
When police arrived on the scene after Booth shot and injured a protester, they found him driving away from the Aurora ICE Processing Center, where protests had been ongoing due to reports of mistreatment and inadequate conditions for detainees.
Geo Group's involvement in this incident is not surprising given its history with government contracts and multi year deals with DHS.
