Police Told to Reinvestigate Suspected Grindr Blackmail Death After Homophobia Claims The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has found that Hertfordshire police made "several errors" in their investigation into the death of Scott Gough, allegedly scammed on Grindr.
The IOPC report concluded that the force failed to properly examine whether Gough's sexuality influenced key investigative decisions.
Scott Gough's partner, Cameron Tewson, had raised concerns about the handling of his partner's death from the outset, only to be met with dismissiveness and a lack of curiosity by police officers.
